We played at Nelson Mandela's Memorial today at the National Cathedral. Wow. Amazing day!  We sang Blowin' in the Wind and No Easy Walk to Freedom with Bethany's dad, Peter Yarrow & (Noel) Paul Stookey. The program included Andrew Young, Jessye Norman, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Alfre Woodard, Imam Mohamed Magid , Allen Boesak, Mary  Frances Berry and may others. (see John Kerry in the front row right of the second photo. Joe Biden arrived a few minutes later.) Incredible people to celebrate the life of one of the great moral forces of this millenium. God Bless the spirit of Nelson Mandela. May he continue to guide and teach us.  We stand on the shoulders of giants.
